Where to buy a Roland AX-7
Roland Ax-7I sent two emails, to Roland Us support asking about the product AX-7 more knowledge as "keytar".
The first response was a common: "we are machines".
E: Support Request #25495
Product: AX-7
Subject: Why roland stop the production of ax-7?
Question: What can I do now?
I need a few of those?
Should I try a yamaha or korg one?
Will you produce that model again?
Fabricio,
Roland is always discontinuing products as well as coming out with new and approved products!

RE: Support Request #25513
Product: AX-7
Subject: Can you answer any of my question?
Question: I know that,
"Roland is always discontinuing products as well as coming out with new and approved products!", who doesn't?
What can I do now?
I need a few of those?
Should I try a yamaha or korg one?
Will you produce that model again?
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Why discontinuing the only model that you offer for that kind of use without releasing any new?
Fabricio,
The AX-series was discontinued (due to lack of sales) and reissued (due to customer demand) no less than three times. The last time it was reissued, unfortunately, sales did not justify keeping the product in our lineup.
Only very recently has demand begun to surface again, undoubtedly due to keytar use by artists such as Justin Timberlake and Mute Math. Whether or not Roland Japan decides to reissue the AX-7 a fourth time (or create a replacement product) is unknown at this time.
Unfortunately, the only recourse one has is Ebay or other used markets.
On a personal note, I used to work at a music store in Arizona and couldn't sell our stock of AX-7s to save my life... until they were discontinued, at which point everyone *needed* one. When we got new AX-7s in... they sat on the floor again. Suddenly no one cared. Such is the state of niche MI industry products.

That's sad.
Well I don't know those guys, and I don't want to play cumbia neither.
I just want to have a cool midi controller to play instruments that use a lot of pitch, like solos, guitars, leads.
Why we can't get what we want :(
